How to convert sitting desk to standing?

Hey all looking for a quick idea if anyone can help me:

I have this desk from Office Works, which I bought about 2 years ago:

I want to convert this into a standing desk.

So far, my idea is to replace its MDF sides (765 x 700 x 150 mm) with a longer MDF I was thinking of (765 x 1250 x 150 mm) 

Does Bunnings provide laminated MDF that can help me here do you have any other recommendations

Hello @DominicPI 

Instead of taking your desk apart, I propose building on top of it by using Specrite 2200 x 600 x 26mm Timber Multi Use Pine Panel. You'll need two panels in order to create the side panel legs and the new top section. You can use standard timber screws to join the panels together. The two tables can be connected together using angle brackets.

Another option is to use a Ufurniture Sit Stand Desk Height Adjustable Black to rise and lower your work environment.
