At my property in the hills near Adelaide, I'm looking to tidy up and rejunivate an space with a row of shrubs., the space is essentially a 10 x 3 metre area , situated between a shed and a row of mature gum trees .
The shed is on the east side, which means the area will be shaded until about 11AM where it will then get about 3 hours of direct sunlight from overhead and then scattered sunlight and mostly shade through to sunset
In Summer, the temp during nears 40 degrees, but in winter, the area is frost prone and will regularly experience 30-40 frosty mornings during the season , with frosty temperatures varying between 0 and -4 degrees)
I was just looking for ideas for shrubs i could plant that that might grow between 40cm upto 150cms high, (or what i can keep pruned to that height) but are also ok with just the 3 or so hours of sunlight and are frost hardy during the winter.
For reference, plants I found that do well elsewhere on the property are Hebes, Lavender, Rosemary, Diosma, Bottle Brushes, Roses and a rather feisty Hot Lips salvia.
Thankful for any ideas
