How to renovate laundry?

Hi, can someone please help me with the laundry room nightmare . The previous owner added a toilet. I’m looking at moving the washing machine machine to the right of the hot water heater and stacking a dryer on top. I also need to paint space. However, I need to find something to fill Where the washing machine machine currently Would work to hide all those pipes and tubes and also allow some storage. Any ideas?

From what I can see in the photo, the simplest way to tidy that space and hide all the pipes would be to install some cabinetry where the washing machine currently sits. You’d need to make sure the cabinet is set out far enough from the wall so it doesn’t interfere with any of the plumbing or pipework behind it.

Depending on the width of the space between the sink and the hot water heater, you could go for a standard 600mm or 900mm wide pantry-style cabinet. This would reach a height to cover the pipes while giving you extra storage inside. You could also consider adding doors or panels that open in front, so everything looks neat while still being accessible for maintenance.

hi thank you for your feedback. How do I go about making a cabinet like that with an open back and maybe some shelves higher up for some storage of laundry and cleaning supplies.

The easiest way is to build a carcass from white-coated particle board, which is affordable, durable, and easy to clean. Start by cutting panels for the sides, top, bottom, and any shelves you want. Assemble the sides and base first using screws and brackets, making sure everything is square. Then attach the top panel, and add any internal shelves, spacing them so you can store laundry and cleaning supplies conveniently.

Leave the back open so the plumbing and pipes are accessible. You can finish it off by adding doors at the front if you want a clean look, or leave it open for easy access. If you’d like, you can add adjustable shelves higher up so you can change the spacing as your storage needs evolve.

However, by the time you purchase all the supplies, you'd likely be coming close to the cost of a prefabricated unit, so I would suggest checking out an option such as the Practa 500mm Kitchen Pantry. You could then modify it as needed.
