How to protect Hebel from whipper snipper?

Good morning. 

We have finished building our home and have used Hebel for the exterior. We haven't started landscaping yet and will soon lay a bit of fill and soil before turf. I have been advised that i will do a bit of damage to the hebel if I hit it when whipper snipping. 

Is there a product i can use against the exterior wall to act as a bit of a protecting barrier for when i do my lawn and should i glue or stick it to the wall to prevent water from getting in and behind it.

To give you more specific advice @GavandKaty, it would help to see some photos of the area and understand exactly where you plan to put soil and the protective barrier. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.

One option is to use plastic garden edging or a similar material as a shield along the wall. You could fix it in place, but make sure any adhesive or fixings don’t trap moisture against the Hebel, as it is a porous material and keeping soil right up against it can create moisture issues. Depending on the space, a mobile or raised barrier, such as a low decking strip, could also work well, protecting the Hebel from whippersnippers while allowing water to drain safely.
