It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about IXL's.As @AlanM52 mentioned, replacing an entire IXL light heater is generally a job for a licensed electrician. Electrical appliances that are hardwired can’t safely be swapped out in a DIY fashion, and even identifying exactly how your unit is wired usually requires an electrician to inspect it.
The safest approach is to engage an electrician to remove the old unit and install the new one. You could purchase the replacement IXL yourself and have it ready, which can help save time and cost, but the actual electrical work should definitely be done by a professional.
