Our block is slightly downhill of our neighbour, and we have concrete on our side of the fence, while she has soil/mulch. When we had our fence replaced, the installers left gaps between the concrete and the plinth of the fence, and now next door's mulch is constantly sliding underneath the fence. The more you sweep, the more it falls! There is a gap of about 80mm at the widest.
I'd love some advice on what we can do to keep the mulch on its right side. We're on good terms with our neighbour, so she'd be open to installation of products to solve this. I was wondering about installing some garden edging along the bottom of the fence on her side, as it could be dug slightly into the soil, beyond the depth of the concrete on our side. Her side of the fence is painted monument, so it would also be easier to disguise on her side than ours, if we could get a product that could be painted, or was already a dark colour.
Thanks for any advice that can be provided!
