How to adhere Caesarstone to powder coated metal frame?

Hi I'd like to mount caesarstone (1900mmx1000mmx20mm with 40mm edge, 100kg) onto powder coated metal frame (load capacity 300kg).

The gap between two supporting bars/brace is 255mm. Overhang off brace is 295mm both sides. Over hang off ends of frame will be 150mm.

Is is strong enough to prevent bending of stone in the parts not contacting the metal?

If yes what adhesive do I use? Is liquid nail OK? Or? What product do I buy?

If not strong enough, I can get MDF to "brace it" but will need to screw this into the frame. The frame has holes that are 6mm but the length of the screw will need to be 80mm (thickness of bar) + 20 mm (MDF) plus thickness of nut . I can't seem to find the products required. Also which adhesive will I use to stick MDF to stone?

Thank you for sharing your question about your Caesarstone benchtop. The current steel support you have is not enough to hold your stone benchtop. Even when reinforced with MDF it might require extra support. I propose engaging the services of a stone top specialist who can guide you in regards to what type of support will hold the stone in place properly. Stone benchtops have very specific tolerances and when they are not met it's possible that the benchtop will crack or get damaged.

In regards to adhesives, I suggest looking at the Sika 290ml Sikaflex®-118 Extreme Grab Construction Adhesive, Sika 300ml White NO1 Davco Neutral Cure N Silicone and Selleys 250g Liquid Nails Clear Construction Adhesive.

I wouldn't be able to essentially guess the answer here. In my opinion, the only people to be able to give advice on the load bearing on the metal frame are the manufacturers.

😕 I do not think it would be wise to use those legs/extendable legs at all for a stone top.

If you look at the join from the legs to the horizontal bar there is about a 1mm - 2mm difference in height between leg and horizontal support. These horizontal supports are not meant to carry the load of the benchtop, the legs are. Any stone spanned between the two klegs will have "flex" that will end up with cracks and several kgs of bits and pieces tumbling down in the worst case.

I wouldnt be using MDF to support ceaser stone/any stone across a span. Its heavy, and I mean a few people to pick it up heavy.

Having table legs with a proper frame across them (all the same level) is the way I would go. The legs you have shown I do not think can be modified.
