How to fix wobbly toilet?

Hi team,

we've had this wobbly toilet for a while. It looks like there's a silicone bead not just around the base but the toilet is actually sitting on it, and it has come apart from the tiles which is causing a wobble.

From other posts and what I've googled the silicone seal is really "around" the toilet, not where the toilet physically sits on it. So if I want to rectify this myself do I need to lift the toilet up and replicate this "bed" of silicone or am i just not understanding how this works at all and this is fine to just scrape away and replace

Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing work must be carried out by a registered plumber for safety and compliance.

In regards to your wobbly pan, it appears that whoever installed it did not put in a sufficient bed of silicone. Generally speaking, if they had put in enough silicone, you would not be able to remove the pan at all. Proper installation would involve the pan being screwed to the floor. However, there may be circumstances that we are not aware of that has forced the installer to just silicone the pan to the floor. I would suggest removing the old silicone from the floor and pan then applying a new generous bed of silicone for the pan to sit on.

Please keep in mind that removing the pan is an involved process and is considered plumbing. I therefore suggest engaging the services of a plumber to carry out the repairs.
