How to replace irrigation drip sprinkler?

Hello, today when I turned the drip irrigation system on water started leaking out of the attachment in photo below. I believe it is irrigation regulator ( unsure) which is broke. Appreciate if you could shed some light on an appropriate identical 30psi one for me to purchase. Also, any advise on how can I fix the same ?

Hi @Akshaybun,

Looks like a Rain Bird and the 30 PSI indicates it's self regulating but searching the Bunnings website all the likely ones I looked at did not reference 30 PSI in their descriptions so I'll leave it to the workshop team.

I also had a look on Rain Bird website and searched for 'Rain Bird 30 PSI sprinkler' (checkout the results).

It’s great to see that Alan has already shared some helpful information and pointed you in the right direction.

I have had a look through the extended Rain Bird catalogue and there is an inline 3/4 inch 30 PSI regulator that looks to be a very close match to what you currently have installed. That is the closest equivalent I have been able to find that would suit a drip irrigation system like yours, as most of the regulators we stock for standard irrigation lines are designed for much higher pressure than 30 PSI.

In terms of replacing it, the broken black plastic section on the threaded portion at the top will need to be unscrewed first. From there, the damaged regulator itself can be unscrewed from the irrigation pipe. Provided the new regulator has the same thread size, you should be able to screw it straight back into the existing fitting. If the thread size differs, you may just need a simple adapter to suit, but otherwise it is a fairly straightforward swap.

If you speak with the Special Orders team at your local Bunnings store, they should be able to order in the Rain Bird 3/4 inch 30 PSI regulator for you. That would be the closest and most appropriate replacement option for what you are running on your system now.
