I was honoured to be asked by my neighbours to help build a Baby Change Topper for their nursery. They wanted to utilise their white chest of drawers to maximise room space. I still had the mat from my son which was a perfect size. The only request was nappy storage at one end and to be painted white to match.
I ended up using white timber moulding - exact size, thickness and even colour I was after. Using MDF I spray painted white for the base, glued and clamped to help set. This was purely to protect the top of the drawers. I used 4 x brackets to secure in place.
Overall they were really happy with the end result and had no complaints from their little mister!!
