How to revive patchy Buffalo lawn?

This area of my grass has been like this for a few months and I really want to make it look nicer but i'm not sure exactly what to do, if anyone has any recommendations please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.  this is what the grass looks like

The white, thinning patches are a sign the buffalo isn’t happy with the soil conditions in that area, so it’s worth fixing that before trying to make it look better on the surface. I’d start by aerating the lawn to open it up and help water and nutrients penetrate down to the roots. After that, topdress the area with a good quality lawn mix and apply a suitable fertiliser to give the grass a boost. There are some fairly large gaps between the healthy runners, so you could overseed the area with a lawn infill seed to help thicken things up. Just keep in mind this will be a different grass type to buffalo, but it’s commonly used to improve coverage in sparse areas. If you’re after a faster, more uniform result, returfing that section with fresh buffalo is another good option and will give you an instant improvement once it’s established.
