I’m wanting to cover an unsightly brick wall on our patio. Would Jack Matrix panels be suitable? do I require anything besides masonry screws?
Thank you
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @klos. It's great to have you join us and many thanks for your question on Matrix panels.
You should be able to install Jack Matrix panels directly onto a brick or masonry wall, and I cannot think of any reason they would not be suitable for that type of surface. I would recommend fixing each panel in all four corners, then adding a screw midway along each side, as well as one at the top and bottom to keep the sheet tight to the wall and prevent any flexing.
Depending on the type of brickwork and how hard the surface is, you may find it easiest to use a masonry fixing kit such as the STAHL Masonry Kit, which includes the correctly sized drill bit, wall plugs and screws so everything is matched and ready to go. This will give you a secure and clean installation without needing any additional brackets or battens. As per the instructions below, you do need to drill an oversized 12mm hole in the panel to allow for expansion. It's also recommended that you use the Matrix screws, which have a larger head.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
