How to connect Ryobi submersible pump to garden hose?

Hi,

I want to buy this pump, but not sure which connector to connect to the normal 12mm garden hose. I want to use the garden spray gun to water the garden

Can I use the below connector to connect to the pump, then connect to the hose?

The Ryobi 18V ONE+ 4,200L/hr Submersible Pump is a submersible pump with a large outlet. It is designed as a transfer pump not as a garden hose pump. Installing a smaller hose at the end of the outlet will stress the motor and possibly cause overheating which can damage the pump. If you compare it to the Ozito 350W Dirty Water Submersible Water Pump which has a tapered outlet which indicates that you can install a garden hose at the end.

Please note that the Ozito pump is not a pressure sensitive pump which means that it will not shut down when you turn the garden gun off. It must be kept on at all times otherwise the pump will get stressed and overheat. For garden use I suggest looking at the Ozito 800W Constant Pressure Pump which has a computer controller.

If you still prefer to use the Ryobi pump, I can only suggest using the hose provided in the set or a clear hose that is the same size as the outlet. I don't recommend attaching a smaller hose at the outlet of the pump.
