How do remove fallen rubber tap valve?

May have overtightened the tap of maybe the dome type tap valve just dont suit my sink. Issue is how do i remove the fallen rubber tap valve inside the tap hole? I used a philips screwdriver poke inside and felt the rubber still sitting there. I replaced the tap valve.woth a normal one and water supply uninterrupted.

There are so many

valves which tap valve is strongly recommended so i dont need to close too tight? I did use reseating tool to clean it before.

Can you get a photo of the dislodged rubber in the breech? Seeing how it's oriented might help us to offer a solution.

My first thought was some needle nose pliers, but this might not work if you can't get purchase.

Another option is to use a piece of wire shaped into a hook to fish the rubber piece out.

You may also be able to use a bit of super glue on the end of a small piece of timber like a dowel to grab on to it and pull it out.

If you're having issues with how many turns are required to shut off your tap, then the domed valves are likely your best option, however even a standard, flatter tap valve would likely improve things if your old ones were particularly worn down. Unfortunately, it may just have to be a case of trying and seeing what works best for you.
