Hi, I am looking to replace some 2 x 100mm x 75mm square downpipes, and i am just wanting to clarify the correct Stormwater Downpipe Adaptor that aligns with the 100mm x 75mm colorbond downpipe.
Thanks,
Nick
Hi Nick (@Hunter4021),
For a 100x75 Colorbond downpipe, you would use these Abey 100 x 75mm Square Downpipe Pops, which are attached to the gutters and the downpipes using coloured rivets to match the downpipe and gutter.
As the downpipe will sit over the pops, the colour is not important, but the rivets will be visible so you should try to match them up as closely as possible with the colour of your downpipe.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
Thanks Jacob,
Does the product align with me needing to replace this PVC stormwater downpipe adaptor ?
Hi Jacob,
I should have also asked if the process to change this damaged PVC Stormwater Downpipe Adaptor;
I am hoping that the process is to dig down into the soil deep enough whereby then riggle the PVC Stormwater Downpipe Adaptor - so that it loosens and pulls off…
Then simple replace the damaged part with the new piece ?
Hi @Hunter4021,
That one is a little bit different, but yes, the process would be to dig down, cut off the old adaptor, then install a new one, which depending on the diameter of the PVC pipe underground is likely going to be similar to this Holman 100 x 80 x 90mm PVC Stormwater Downpipe Adaptor.
Unfortunately, as this work is on a stormwater connection, legally this work will need to be done by a plumber.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
