How to replace kitchen hinges?

We would like to replace existing hinges to soft close hinges; however some or our existing mounting plates are not straight and aligned. My question is how far back does a kaboodle soft close hinge need to be from the front of the cabinet. I have read 37mm?

Have you got any photos of your current hinges that you can share? I just want to confirm which type they are to ensure that the replacement hinges will work.

The Kaboodle hinges are designed for use with a standardised cabinetmaking system that is referred to as System 32. System 32 cabinets have a series of 5mm holes predrilled at 32mm intervals along the full height of the cabinet carcass. This row of holes is located 37mm from the front edge of the sidewall.

So, if your holes are located 37mm from the front edge of the carcass, as long as the cabinet doors are in a full overlay orientation, it should be simple change over.
