I have a curtain with many broken gliders. I'm not sure how to remove the broken gliders and push in new ones. Is there a way to do this without fully removing the curtain track from the wall (by removing the 3 screws in the photo). Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi @simplistic,
Thank you for your question.
It looks like the hanging rail is telescopic. You can see there is a join in the centre here.
If you push the two ends together at this point, it should shorten the rail, which should allow you to slide it out of the brackets on each end.
Once it is out, you can add additional Curtain Track Gliders, then slot it back into the bracket and extend it to lock it back in place.
Give this a try and let me know how you go. I am happy to assist further if this solution does not work for you.

Thank you Jacob. I tried pushing them in together at the joint, but it only moved a few mm, not enough to slide it out of the ends. Not sure if its just stuck or it's not supposed to slide out that way. I have close up attached photos of the end brackets and the middle join.
I am pretty confident that it should be able to telescope together, it may just be a bit stuck because it has been supporting the weight of the curtains for a while.
Try lifting the join up a bit and then pushing it together, it may be binding at the bottom because it has slightly bent from bearing the weight of the curtains. You could also try spraying a bit of WD40 in the join to help lubricate it and loosen things up.
I can't imagine you'll have to, but you could always unscrew one of the brackets, which will allow you to pull out the rail, but you should see if you can get the rail to telescope before resorting to this.
Give this a try and let me know how you go.
