How to replace Mondella tap and mixer?

Hi. I have a Mondella tap and mixer that the paint has peeled off and I would like to replace them.

It doesn’t seem that Bunnings have replacement parts or a new mixer system that wont need all the plumbing replaced.

Any suggestions.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Typically, a mixer tap will have a mixer body that is installed inside the wall. Different brands and models have different body designs, fixing points, depths, and cartridge systems, which means replacing a shower mixer tap will almost always require modification and thus the assistance of a plumber.

Can you advise which specific mixer you have purchased? Do you still have a receipt? I can certainly check if they are still available or if replacement parts can be sourced. If you are within the warranty period, this is another option that might be worth exploring.

Unfortunately, if this is not possible, you are likely going to have to contact a plumber for assistance replacing the mixer tap as there is no real way to guarantee that a different mixer tap will work with the mixer body.
