I have a bathroom cabinet that wont align shut after i replaced the hinges. Did I purchase the wrong type of hinge- I've tried the depth and width adjusting and doesnt seem to line up, below are uploaded photos of another cabinet with the old hinges and of the hinges i purchased.
Thank you in for your help
Hi @RenoFun,
You might like to start by having a look at How to replace kitchen cabinet door hinges, which gives some information about the different types of cabinet hinges and how to identify them.
Based on how the doors are sitting, it looks like you may have used the wrong kind of hinge.
Is it possible to get a photo of where the door sat in relation to the side wall of the cabinet originally?
Were the doors originally in an overlay or inset orientation?
Have you got a photo of the packaging your new hinges came in to confirm what type they are?
I get the feeling your cabinet doors were inset, but you have purchased an overlay hinge, which would make the sit out a distance equal to the thickness of the door, which appears to be what is happening.
I can certainly point you in the right direction if you can answer these questions.

Hi @JacobZ , thanks so much unfortunately I don't have the packaging anymore but this was from the tax invoice.
From the diagram you sent it looks like the original should be an overlay (I have a second bathroom that has an identical bathroom cabinet that shows this)
BEFORE (OLD HINGE):
AFTER (NEW HINGE) The install I did now makes the cabinet look like this
Thank you so much !! @JacobZ
Hello @RenoFun
Just to make sure you get the correct set, I suggest bringing your old hinge with you to the store including the mounting plate. You can then put it side-by-side with the new hinge and make sure it is the same height and shape.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

It looks like the hinge set you've installed could have been half overlay, whereas you need a full overlay, such as the Blum 107° Full Overlay Self Close Cabinet Hinge. As Eric mentioned, the best way to ensure the hinges match, is to take the old hinge with you and match it up visually with the new hinge.

Thank you!!!!
