I'm looking for advice on what to purchase and how to install bistro blinds on my 8x5m outdoor freestanding patio (sample image attached). Thanks very much.
Hello @brookeh98
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about bistro blinds.
I propose installing 70 x 35mm Outdoor Framing H3 Treated Pine - 2.4m on the right-hand side top section of your roof frame. By placing the timber mounting piece at the top, it will prevent you from drilling too many holes into the steel frame. The timber will take the brunt of the installation crews from the bistro blinds.
For one side of the patio, I suggest using three of the Bistro Blinds 210 x 240cm 0.75mm Charcoal PVC Outdoor Blind and one of the Bistro Blinds 180 x 240cm 0.75mm Charcoal PVC Outdoor Bistro Blind. Please keep in mind that the blinds do come in different widths and if you are just going post to post, then you'll need to measure the distance between posts to get the ideal size.
The same technique can be applied to the front and back. For the front side for example, you'll need two of the Bistro Blinds 240 x 240cm 0.75mm Charcoal PVC Outdoor Bistro Blind.
