How to add a second cold water outlet for dishwasher?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to install a dishwasher nex to my kitchen sink. Currently, the cold water line has a tee piece installed to provide an inlet for a water filter.

I now need an additional outlet for the dishwasher inlet hose. What's the best way to add this extra connection? Should I add another tee, or is there a specific dual outlet valve or manifold that can handle both the mixer tap, the water filter, and the dishwasher?

Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.

It's possible that the the plumber will remove your sink mixers cold line and install a Brasshards Loose Nut 2 Way Under Sink Valve 1/4 Turn 20mm x 15mm Chrome Lead Free on the existing "T". This connector is exactly what you described, it can service both the tap mixers cold line and your dishwasher's inlet hose. I recommend asking your plumber to anchor the current set up to your cabinet wall due to the brass weight currently being held by the main cold line. Please remember to use plumbers' tape on all threaded connections.
