HI I have these four dining chairs that are one peice velvet fabric and the base legs frame attaches via four screws. Unfortunately they are really hard to maintain as I have pets and I dont have time to wipe four chairs every day - hair sticks to velvet. I am thinking if I could cover with a plastic so makes easy to quickly wipe and pet hair wont stick I can still enjoy the original beauty of the chairs and keep them. Any suggestions? Thanks
Hello @Bell_xo
Thank you for sharing your question about covering your dining chairs with plastic. The only plastic cover I am aware of is the Packz 1200 x 1000 x 250mm Dining Chair Cover. But it is more of a dust cover than a tough plastic protector that you can sit on. However, another product you can try to use to protect your chairs is the Artiss Dining Chair Covers 6x Slipcovers Spandex Stretch Banquet Wedding Black. Its stretchy fabric will conform to the shape of your chair.
If you were to use thick plastic, my only suggestion would be to use a heat gun to soften the plastic so that it conforms to the shape of your chair. I then suggest using duct tape to join the plastic together just like wrapping a Christmas gift. Your goal is to cover the chair in such a way that it won't come off when you sit on it.
