How to fix Posh toilet dripping within the cistern?

Hope i could get some advice please, I have a Posh Toilet cistern which is connected to my water tank & slowly draining the water tank over time as I can hear dripping from the cistern & also hear the pump kick in. Would this be a simple fix in just replacing a washer or should i replace the entire cistern. Thankyou

Please note that plumbing work needs to be completed by a licensed professional for safety and compliance.

I suggest doing a quick test to identify which part needs to be repaired. I recommend letting the cistern fill up with water first then turning off the cistern tap. If the water drains away the seating washer for the flushing mechanism needs to be replaced. If water does not drain, then odds are it is the filling valves washer that needs replacing.

Your flushing unit has two clips at the front of the cistern tank. You'll need to pull the tabs back in order to lift the flushing unit out of the cistern. There are sliding guides at the back so keep an eye out for that as well. To remove the seating washer simply grab the edge of the rubber washer and pull it out, up and away. To re-seat it back in place hoot it in and pull then center it to the flushing bottom.

My best advice is to bring the old seating washer with you to the store and compare it to the new one you'll be getting to make sure that it is the same size and thickness.
