Project Description
We're currently remodelling our kitchen and gradually replacing cupboards as budget allows.
We've just fitted the 900mm Kaboodle corner cupboard but I'm not a fan of the large shelf that comes with it so I modified it to make better use of the space.
I looked at quite a few options, including the rotating baskets etc but none appealed to me so I bought a piece of Melamine from Bunnings 1800x445 and cut it down to 2 pieces at 845x445.

Step 1
We're remodelling our kitchen and replacing one cupboard at a time as budget allows. This week was the Kaboodle 900mm corner cupboard. I'm not a fan of the big shelf and other options like the rotating baskets didn't appeal to me either so I opted for 2 separate shelves instead.
Step 2
Using the Kreg Jig, I drilled extra holes across to support the shelves and more holes above and below to add height options. I couldn't fit the Kreg all the way into the corner, hence the offset holes.
Step 3
I bought a sheet of melamine 1800x445 and cut it down to 2 pieces at 845x445. Unfortunately these were a little too long for the Kaboodle shelf supports so I swapped them out for Taskmaster ones that sit under the shelf instead.
The new shelves allow me more options for small and tall items without having to stack or dig deep to get something out.
Hopefully this project will appeal to someone in the same position as me, needing optimum space in a small kitchen.
