Hello, just need help removing this shower head fitting as I am replacing with new. Does it simply screw off anti-closkwise? It was a flexispray handheld mount.

Yes, it should simply unscrew anti-clockwise from the wall outlet.
If you have a large set of adjustable pliers you can grip the fitting and turn it, but the easier option is often to remove the small insert on the bottom first. It looks like there is an aerator in the bottom outlet, which you should be able to flick out. Once that’s removed, you can insert a large screwdriver into the opening and use it as a lever to help turn the fitting anti-clockwise and unscrew it from the wall. This usually gives you enough leverage to loosen it.
