Hi All,
I have a minor crack on one of the corner tiles in my bathroom as shown in the pictures below.
Can someone please kindly advise on what will be the best way to repair this?
Hi @Adrenaline06,
Unfortunately, there isn’t really a reliable way to properly repair a cracked tile. Once a tile has cracked, the only permanent fix is to replace the tile entirely.
That said, you could certainly try filling the crack to make it less noticeable. A product like PC-11 56g White Epoxy Paste can work well for this. You’d want to make sure the epoxy is pushed well into the crack so it fills it completely. Before it fully sets, use a bladed scraper to remove any excess from the tile surface. It's best to get it as flush as possible, as once the epoxy has cured, it will likely need to be sanded back flush with the tile. Just be aware that this can be tricky to do without scratching the surrounding tile surface.
After it’s dry and level, you could try touching it up with paint to help blend it in with the tile colour. You might actually find that a grey nail polish is one of the easiest ways to match the colour fairly closely for a small crack.
Ultimately, though, if you want a perfect result, the best solution would be to replace the cracked tile.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
