Hi everyone
I am planning to install 2 level or 1 level corner shelves in my outdoor backyard.
I will put the pool equipment like brush/ pool cleaner hose. So its ok with rain.
I wanted to use that space for storage.
Kind regards
Hi @Ajay1,
Have you seen any exterior corner shelves that you were considering using, or did you have a specific question about installing them?
I’m not aware of any purpose-made hanging corner shelves designed specifically for outdoor use. Most of the corner shelf units you’ll find are fairly lightweight and intended for indoor use, so they typically wouldn’t hold up well outside in the weather.
You’d likely need to create your own shelves. One option would be to use galvanised stayed brackets anchored to the wall with Dynabolts. You could then cut a panel to size to fit neatly into the corner. A material like marine-grade plywood would be suitable for the shelf itself, as it handles moisture better than standard plywood. However, it would still be a good idea to seal it with exterior paint or varnish to help protect it from the weather.
Another option to consider would be simply hanging the pool equipment directly on the wall using storage hooks. For items like pool brushes and hoses, this can sometimes be the easiest and most practical storage solution.
Also, have you consided a small storage shed?
Please let me know if you have any questions.
