How to patch holes in wooden cladding?

Hi experts

I’ve had some loose fill insulation added to my house, and now I need to patch some holes in the wooden cladding.

Can someone give advice on the best method and products to do this? Ideally the end result would be waterproof, and I’m planning to repaint these sections after so the colour doesn’t need to match anything. The holes are around 2-3cm in diameter.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about patching holes in your cladding.

I suggest using the Turbo 175ml Builders Bog Flexipack to patch the holes in your cladding. It can be shaped while partly dry to save sanding time. It can also be sanded, drilled and painted just like real wood. It's great for filling holes in partially rotten timber and can be mixed to set quickly or slowly. My best advice is not to use too much activator so that you have time to mould and level the surface of the bog.

Once the bog is fully cured you can then sand it down to level, and then prime and paint the surface.

Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and a mask when working on your repairs.
