What sealant for new concrete pavers?

Hi,

I have just installed new concrete pavers in my backyard.

Would like to know which of the sealers should I use.

Crommelin Natural Finish Penetrating Sealer

OR

Crommelin Water Based Concrete & Paving Sealer

Mitchell Mclean has been very kind and advised me not to use both the sealers.

Hi @Anil51,

It really comes down to what you want out of sealing your pavers.

If your main goal is stain protection and easier cleaning, then the Water Based Concrete & Paving Sealer would be the better option. It forms a surface coating and is more effective against things like oil, dirt, and tannin stains (e.g. from gum leaves).

If you prefer to keep the natural look of the pavers, then the Natural Finish Penetrating Sealer is a good choice. It soaks into the surface and makes it water-repellent, but it doesn’t provide the same level of stain protection.

So it’s really about whether appearance or protection matters more to you.
