How to remove shower hose head?

Hi bathroom gurus

I believe i post this before and now trying to replace my very old hose with the new one as they are unable to separate from shower head.

Tried using a wrench but found it hard to turn

Should be turning anti clockwise right?

I dont want to break it and incur extra cost and issues. Any recomendation on this?

Plumbers wrench or normal wrench. Percussion therapy can also help if you have a rubber mallet on hand as built up calcium can basically cement them in place along with rust.

Yes, the shower hose head is undone by turning it anti-clockwise (looking up from below). Looking at your photos, you would place the spanner on the right side of the fitting and rotate it to the left. If it’s stiff or stuck, you can spray some WD‑40 on the connection and let it sit for about an hour. This can help loosen any corrosion or seal that is making it difficult to turn, making it easier to remove without risking damage.

Sometimes, if you place the spanner on the nut and give the end furthest away from the nut a little sharp tap with a hammer in an anti-clockwise direction, it can help get it started. If you feel that you're at the point where you could cause damage, I would recommend that you reach out to a plumber or handyperson for assistance.
