dishwasher drain is leaking . How to make it leak proof
Hi @umch,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
You're going to want to grab a Hose Clamp in the correct range for the diameter of your drain hose. Slip it over the end of the hose, then push the hose on to the barb. Once the hose is in place, slide the hose clamp down the hose so that it sits past the lip of the barb while still on the hose, then tighten it up.
This will create a strong seal against the barb that should prevent further leaks.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
You might also look at a better installation of the drain hose while you're there.
When you drain a sink the water can go down the plug hole but also back through the dishwasher drain pipe and finish in the base of the machine. You should have the pioe extended so it can hook up just under the kitchen bench to prevent siphoning.
