What are our options for fixing these tiles edges?

What are the best options for fixing these these tiled edges? They are quite sharp and rough, want them to be a bit safer as we have kids.

Would like to avoid pulling up the tiles if we can, they have only just been laid. But also don't want the 'fix' to become a worse eyesore.

I see two main options, cut back the tiles and install an after-fit trim such as this QEP 10mm x 2.5m Silver Afterfit Tile Trim, or dull the edge of the tile by wet sanding with a QEP Diamond Sanding Block.

Unfortunately, I'd say installing a trim would require the assistance of a tiler as it would require either the tiles or the tile adhesive to be cut back, which speaking from experience, is very difficult to do without cracking the tiles. If you'd like to go with this option, I'd suggest you contact a professional tiler in your area for their assistance.

If you'd like to go with an option that is easier for you to do yourself, dulling the edge using a diamond sanding block would be relatively easy. I'd suggest you start by wetting down the tiles, then going over the sharp edge with the 60 grit block, then working up through the grits as required. I'd say you'll get by using a 60 grit and a 200 grit block, but you can always smooth it further with the 400 grit if necessary. Just make sure you wet the tiles down prior to sand and you work in a smooth motion to avoid chipping.

While wet sanding, it is unlikely there will be much dust, but it is still worthwhile wearing a mask to protect yourself from any airborne dust.
