How to get Garden Basics sprinkler to oscillate?

I purchased the Garden Basics Oscillating Sprinkler today, however after hooking it up I just couldn't get it to oscillate. In retrospect I should have read the reviews as this seems to be a common issue (though for $15.00 it was worth the risk).

Kind of a shame but before I buy a replacement I was hoping to try some trouble shooting. There are no issues with water pressure, bubbles or kinks in the hose, and I flushed it out using the plug on the end just in case. I've tested the dial in centre, full and left with no movement at all.

So my question is, am I missing something here?

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your Garden Basics sprinkler.

Based on the troubleshooting you’ve already done, it does sound like the unit is faulty, as it should definitely be oscillating under normal conditions. At this point, I’d recommend bringing it back to the store for an exchange or refund, and our team will be happy to help with that.
