The knob on one side of the door works, knob on the other just turns without engaging the latch. I am in UK. Could you advise on Gainsborough productz and spares?

My best advice would be to give the local Gainsborough UK office near your area a call and see if they can provide you with technical assistance. You can also engage the services of a local lock smith to diagnose the mechanical fault in your doorknob.
