How to install replacement downlight bulbs?

I was attempting to replace my LED down lights with cool light bulbs but they didn’t work, but now when I try and put the old working bulb back in they still don’t work. I’m not sure if I am just not clicking them in properly or if the connections are just old. Happy to get an electrician in if I have to but just not sure what to do as I have a lot of downlights.

Thank you for sharing your question about your down light. It's possible that the LED bulb that you have purchased is incompatible with the LED driver in your ceiling. In regards to the old LED bulb, I suggest removing it from the receptacle and plugging it back in. It could be just a bad connection of the contact points. But if after plugging it back in and the light does not turn on, it's possible that the bulb or LED driver has malfunctioned. One more test you can try is to get one of the other LED bulbs in your ceiling and testing it on the one you currently have out.

If the light comes on, then it's probable that the original LED light has expired. However, if the bulb fails to light up then the fault could be something else. At this point I suggest engaging the services of an electrician to track down fault in your down light. Please note that any electrical works must be carried out by a licensed electrician for safety and compliance.
