Could a battery be used with Matador Ignite 2?

Question

bought my husband this new bbq for birthday - didn’t realise it needed to be connected to power source for the LED lights in the back of the hood to turn on. That means an annoying cord. We have electric recliners that have a similar problem but we have battery packs that can be charged and plugged into the chair and hidden underneath that last a few weeks before needing recharge. Is this an option for the matador bbq?? A rechargeable battery pack to use while operating the bbq?

Unfortunately, as per the product manual, the

is designed to run on RCD protected mains power, meaning a battery pack would not be suitable.

You can use an extension lead; just ensure it is a heavy duty one such as this
