How to fix roof leak from chimney flashing?

Hello, what is the best sealant (silicone?) to use along top edge of metal chimney flashing against brick chimney to seal against some rain seeping into the roof space?

Is the small tube of clear silicone suitable as it's in an economical size to fit standard caulking gun?

As long as it specifically states that it is UV resistant and suitable for exterior use, then pretty much any silicone will work.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say, "it's in an economical size to fit standard caulking gun?"

Do you mean it is only a small gap, so you are looking to avoid using a caulking gun?

If so, then this https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-90ml-translucent-roof-and-gutter-silicone-sealant_p0541547 would work just fine without the need for a caulking gun.

If you did have a standard caulking gun, then you could use this https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-310g-translucent-roof-and-gutter-silicone-sealant_p1234919 which is the same product in a different container.
