How to order laminate wall sheets for caravan renovation?

Hi, I am looking to find either 2.7mm or 3mm laminate wall sheets for our caravan wall sheets. Have been searching online and cannot find any as yet. Can anyone help out on this: I believe that Bunnings has suppliers that I can purchase from?

Just to clarify first, are you chasing solid laminate sheets (HPL style), or would a laminate-faced / coated sheet work for your application? That’ll make a big difference to what’s available.

True solid laminate in that 2.7–3mm range is pretty hard to come by in retail here, and it’s usually sourced through specialty suppliers rather than off-the-shelf.

The closest options we carry or can point you toward are:

• A 3mm wet area wall panel (like Wall Art) which is a pressurised melamine panel. It’s lightweight, wipeable, and pretty similar visually to what you’d see in caravans, but it’s not a true laminate core.
• A 3mm white backing board (CUSTOMwood MDF) with a foil coating. Again, not a laminate, but often used in similar situations where you just need a clean, light panel.

For actual caravan-style panels, what you’re describing is usually a vinyl-faced plywood or decorative wallboard around 3mm thick, which is specifically made for vans and is lightweight and flexible . Let me tag our caravan restoration expert @twocutekelpies to see if she has any thoughts.

Another left-field option we do have is 3mm aluminium composite panel, which is lightweight and durable, but more of a rigid, modern finish rather than a traditional caravan look .

If you can confirm the look you’re after, I can steer you a bit tighter, but in most cases for caravans people end up going with vinyl/melamine-faced product rather than true laminate.
