Ryobi RLT1238 Trimmer Head Issue

Happy Easter🐰

The trimmer head in my 1200w Ryobi RLT1238 grass trimmer is stuck and I cannot unscrew it to insert the trimmer line. I've used this for a few years with no issues. Any suggestions on fixing this is appreciated. Alternatively should I replace the trimmer head ?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the trimmer head on your Ryobi RLT1238.

As the head is stuck and won’t unscrew, first make sure the unit is unplugged before attempting anything. These models will often have a reverse thread, so it’s worth double checking you’re turning it the correct way. If the head has become tight due to grass or debris buildup, giving it a clean and applying a bit of WD40 around the thread can help loosen it. Using gloves or a cloth can improve your grip, and if needed, a pair of multigrip pliers can provide a bit of extra leverage.
