How to resolve gap between flange and basin top?

Hi team,

Today we replaced our old bathroom basin taps with the Shaw and Mason 1/4 tap set. When installing, we discovered that it’s like the locking nut that you screw the flange to is too long, and therefore there is now this gap between the basin and the flange (see pictures attached). What product do you recommend to resolve this? We have tried searching your website and others but cannot seem to find anything.

Thank you for sharing your question about your basin tap. One way to cover the gap is to use the edge or trim rings that sometimes come with the set. If there are no trim rings, you'll need to get the https://www.bunnings.com.au/shaw-mason-chrome-basin-flange-2-pack_p5001635 and use both trim rings to cover the gap. My next suggestion is changing tap handles that can accommodate taller spindles.

Another option is to fill the gap with white silicone. The last option is to for the plumber to move the tap assembly down. It's an involved process best left to the professionals.
