not able to reset even after 30 minutes.
Cutters can be rotated manually so not seized up
Hi @Ketchup2,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Just to start with, can you confirm which specific Ryobi shredder model you have?
If it’s not resetting even after 30 minutes but the cutters can still be rotated by hand, it could be a couple of things. Most commonly it’s either the thermal overload protection still being triggered, a reset procedure not fully completed, or a safety switch not being properly engaged.
Based on the manual for the https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-ac-2400w-crushing-shredder_p0082386 here are a few things worth checking:
If you have a different model of shredder, then I can certainly have a look to see if there are differences with you
If none of that gets it going again, it may indicate a fault with the overload system or another internal component. In that case, I’d recommend taking it back to your local store with your receipt, for assessment under the terms of the warranty.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
