How to cover doorways to stop dust during renovations?

Hi

I will soon have my bathroom renovated and need a simple and effective way of covering doorways to avoid dust going throughout the whole house. I need this to be easily accessible to rooms as I have a partner who is currently using a mobility walker. Any advice?

I'd suggest you use a zip door such as this https://www.bunnings.com.au/monarch-2-4-x-1m-domestic-zip-door-domestic_p1662372 or this https://www.bunnings.com.au/monarch-1-2-x-4m-commercial-zip-door_p1662371 if you have a larger than normal door opening. They simply attach to the frame of the door with double sided tape, then can be opened and closed using the zip to allow free access without removal.

In saying this, the premade ones have a zip on only one side of the opening, which could be tricky with a walker, so if you feel that could be an issue, then you can more or less replicate these doors using two https://www.bunnings.com.au/builders-edge-adhesive-zippers-2-pack_p0400892 and a https://www.bunnings.com.au/monarch-2-6-x-3-6m-blue-plastic-drop-sheet_p1670110 . Just attach the drop sheet to the frame using double sided tape, or duct tape, then make a vertical cut on each side of the door opening before attaching the adhesive zippers to bridge these cuts. You can then undo both zippers and lift the plastic for easy access.

When the door is not being used for access, you'd simply tape the bottom edge down to keep the dust in.
