How to fix Ryobi mower R36LMW16 that stops?

I’m having issues with my ryobi mower that I purchased in 2024.
it starts but the minute I start to push it sputters then stops.
I thought it was the blades as they felt blunt, so I replaced them. Unfortunately it’s still doing it.
the battery is fully charged.
i have checked everything to see what it could be but have come unstuck.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Ryobi lawn mower.

You've already started with some of the basic trouble shooting steps. Let me add a few more to make sure you've covered all the bases.

• Make sure that the isolator key is properly plugged in. Make sure it has not been exposed to dust and debris and that the contacts are clean.
• Double check that the handle locks are properly locked in place.
• Check that the batteries are sitting properly in the sliding cradles.
• Make sure that the grass catcher is clipped on properly.
• Inspect the start button to make sure that it is not stuck or is not pushing down properly.
• Check the starting levers are making proper contact with the top bar.

Once you've gone through these other basic trouble shooting steps and it still refuses to start properly, I suggest bringing your docket and the lawnmower to the store where you purchased it from. I recommend speaking to the power gardening specialist at the store. They might perform a few more trouble shooting steps and if it still refuses to start or function properly the issue could be an internal fault. I suggest applying for the warranty at the store and proceeding from there.
