Powered fridge secured to vehicle

The project:

I needed to secure my fridge and battery box for off road trips to remote camping spots.

So I dropped into my nearest store for all the materials.

- Step 1:

1. Measure and mark with a niko, the outs corners of each item.
2. Cut your alloy angle in lengths to suit.
3. Drill all your holes in the angle
4. Pre-drill all your pilot holes
5. Secure each length in place with self-tapping screws
6. Attach your hooks using pop rivets

- Step 2:

Finally, test fit your fridge and battery box.

Both items need to fit tightly without any movement.

Last task (that I haven't done yet) is to choose and apply 2 coats of black paint. Gloss or mat it's your call.

In your nearest store you will finds various items to secure your fridge and battery box. Straps, cables, etc.

Head outdoors with the peace of mind knowing things won't bounce around while you navigate your way to a special camping spot.

Thank you for sharing your very practical solution for keeping your fridge and battery box in place while your off on your travels.

I'm assuming the idea with the upside down hooks is that you can run a rope from one side of the fridge or battery box to the other to tie it off?

This seems like a fantastic solution that will give you some good peace of mind that everything will stay right where you want it to on those weekend adventures to the beautiful spots our country has to offer.
