The project:
My internal doors were dark, dreary and plain. I decided to update them with a change of colour and some trim. Very happy to say im finally done
- Materials:
Oak 18 x 6 half round trim
Dulux wash and wear semi gloss in vivid white
- Tools:
Gorilla glue
Ryobi nail gun
Handled mitre cutter
- Step 1:
I removed the doors by removing the pin. I marked the hinges to make sure the top one went to the top when reassembling.
- Step 2:
I then gave the doors a good sand to remove imperfections and the prepare for painting.
- Step 3:
Using a handled mitre cutter i cut the trim to size and then glued and pinned the trim in place. I filled the holes with filler.
- Step 4:
Another quick sand and then it was time to paint. As the previous colour was dark I needed 3 coats for full coverage.
