Is there anything , as well as hands and knees scrubbing - that can be used to clean these tiles , which haven’t had a good scrub since pre covid , any cleaners - or suggestions to scrub them with , rather than just cloth or paper towel. Thankyou
Hi @DavidFg ,
With that style of vinyl tile, the textured surface does tend to trap and hold onto grime over time, which is why it’s looking quite ingrained now.
Given the level of build-up, it may actually be worth considering a professional clean to bring them back, and you’d likely be surprised how much brighter they come up. After that, ongoing maintenance becomes much easier.
If you’d prefer to tackle it yourself, it is possible, just a bit labour-intensive. I’d suggest using a vinyl-safe floor cleaner like https://www.bunnings.com.au/long-life-2l-general-purpose-floor-cleaner_p4460495 along with a stiff scrubbing brush to really work into the texture. A mop alone won’t be enough to lift that embedded dirt.
Expect it to take a few passes rather than coming up in one go, and do a wet mop in between to remove the displaced grime. Working in smaller sections and repeating the process will give you the best results.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
