hi - we have misplaced the installation instructions for our Mondella Overture chrome shower mixer and we cannot find it online.

I have this same mixer and the dress plate is loose - do the instruction show how the dress plate is attached as there is nothing for it to screw/clip onto. All I can think of is to apply some silicon behind it, could you advise best practice here?

Please note that plumbing work needs to be completed by a licensed professional for safety and compliance.
Generally speaking, shower face plates are usually press fit onto the body of the shower mixer. A rubber O ring holds the face plate in place and prevents it from moving. However, if the O ring is too far forward or the body of the shower is too far into the wall there'll be nothing for the O ring to anchor onto. In this particular instance, I suggest applying some silicone onto the back of the face plate and using masking tape to hold it in place while the silicone cures.
Once the curing time has passed you can then remove the masking tape from the face plate. My best advice is to put some at the top and bottom of the face plate but not too much so that the face plate will not be too difficult to remove should the shower mixer need servicing.

Just to add on to what @EricL has said, that o ring does seem visible, but the silicone that was applied around the tap body seems to be sitting in front of it. I imagine that silicone is likely stopping the face plate from slipping over the o ring.
You could try cutting the silicone back flush with the wall and seeing if you can press fit the face plate as intended. If not, then you can always silicone it in place like Eric mentioned.
