Hi Bunnings Workshop team, hoping someone with gas fitting knowledge can point me in the right direction.
I have purchased the
https://www.bunnings.com.au/matador-spark-6-burner-gas-bbq_p0583110
and the
https://www.bunnings.com.au/matador-natural-gas-conversion-kit_p0718026
The Bunnings listing says the BBQ can be converted to natural gas with the approved conversion kit, and the kit says installation must be done by a licensed gas fitter or plumber, which I understand and will be doing.
What I am trying to work out before booking the plumber is: what additional parts do I need to buy so they can complete the install in one visit?
I also tried purchasing the
bunnings.com.au/gasmate-branded-hose-1200mm-bayonet-to-5-8-unf-3-8-sae-_p0507185
bayonet to 5/8" UNF hose, but it appears that is not the correct connection for my setup.
My house already has an outdoor gas bayonet outlet, and both ends seem to be the same type, so I’m guessing I need either:
- a different hose with the correct male/female ends
- a bayonet adaptor
- a quick connect fitting
- or something else entirely
Has anyone converted this exact Matador Spark 6 Burner to natural gas and can list the specific Bunnings parts required?
Just trying to save time and avoid the plumber arriving without the right fittings. Thanks in advance.
