Acoustic panels and TV lighting

The project:

I wanted to highlight my tv area in the living room with acoustic panels and some bias lighting around the TV to soften the look.

- Materials:

Acoustic Panels

Bias lighting

- Tools:

Circular saw

Jigsaw

Adhesive

- Step 1:

First i had to remove the TV and speakers to get a blank wall.

I then found centre of the TV mount and then extended a vertical line up the wall so I could align the panels correctly.

The first panel was the second from left. This was first as it was aligned to the the level vertical line and guaranteed the remaining 3 panels were square.

I cut the panels from top of the skirting board to the cornice and then used liquid nails and flat head screws.

I then continued mounting the remaining 3 boards cutting around the cable outlets and powerpoints etc

That’s a really clean and well-thought-out upgrade @WoodenGregsWood. The alignment and planning clearly paid off as the panels look straight and balanced, and the way you’ve integrated everything around the TV mount and outlets keeps it looking tidy rather than cluttered. The addition of bias lighting is a great touch too, it really softens the space and gives it a more polished, modern feel. Nice work!
