How to connect to bath waste drain?

I’ve bought the pipe and hose to connect my freestanding bath to the waste drain in the floor however I’ve been told the size is unusual and the pipe just doesn’t fit. The waste drain in the floor seems to be just under 35mm with the pipe 35mm. Has anyone seen this before?

Please note that plumbing work needs to be completed by a licensed professional for safety and compliance.

I have seen 35mm fittings before but not the type you currently have. It looks like a part of a third-party bath waste drain, installing the bath waste pipe and the bath waste itself is part of regulated plumbing work and needs to be carried out by a licensed plumber.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to provide guidance on how it is assembled, but a licensed plumber will be able to assess the waste pipe and find out what parts you'll need for your bath drain.
